  • Field Trips

    Special notes for all field trips. As with any geologic field trip, hiking and climbing will be associated with most events. Sturdy shoes are recommended, plus outerwear that is water and wind repellant. The weather can be highly variable during September, with wide temperature ranges and rain. Individual field-trip leaders will advise attendees on special conditions associated with their excursions. Safety will be strongly emphasized.

  • Short Courses

    Short courses are limited in size and are reserved on a first-come basis. Registration must be accompanied with a full payment. A waiting list is automatically created if a short course sells out. An AAPG committee member will notify you if a space becomes available. Short course participants who are registering for the full AAPG-ES meeting have placement priority. Please register before September 7th, 2012. Undersubscribed short courses may be cancelled. No refund will be made for short courses after August 6, 2012, although participants may be substituted. All courses will be held at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel unless otherwise indicated.
